"Fans were a bit surprised when North Carolina hardcore/metal act Advent announced their reformation last March, four years and two albums after disbanding. At the time, vocalist Joe Musten said, "It's a decision we all made together about nine months ago and we are all finally to a point where we are able to move forward."
Fast forward nearly a year and the quartet is set to release a new EP titled Pain & Suffering through Bridge Nine Records, their first new record in more than seven years. Today we're pleased to exclusively unveil a blistering new track from the outing titled "Shadow of Death." Listen below, and consider pre-ordering the EP."

To celebrate that album's tenth anniversary, they are collaborating together again to re-issue it on December 16th, and then hitting the road and playing the album in its entirety. Expire return with their third full-length, With Regret, due out September 23rd. A little heavier and just as fierce as ever, the Midwest Blood champions cruise across sub-two-minute juggernauts purging their feelings on damaged relationships and introspective exorcisms. With Regret is the first Expire album recorded outside of their mainstay studio, Howl Street, having traveled up to Chicago's Bricktop Studios with Andy Nelson. The new environment takes them out of their comfort zone and results in subtle new twists to the band's sound, which bounces with a caustic, fraught anxiety, more memorable riffs, and focused vocals that retain all their previous bile and despair.
Expire, who formed back in 2009, have released two highly-acclaimed full-lengths (Pendulum Swings, 2012 and Pretty Low, 2014) and a handful of EPs (Grim Rhythm in 2010, Suffer The Cycle in 2011 and Sink With Me in 2012), and most recently released their Old Songs compilation earlier this year. They've toured the globe countless times over in their seven-year career, and in support of With Regret they'll canvas North America with Stick To Your Guns, Stray From The Path, and Knocked Loose. Tour dates can be found below, along with track listing and cover art for With Regret.

Lincoln, Nebraska natives and recent Bridge Nine signees Bent Life have announced their debut album for the label, Never Asked for Heaven, which will be released August 5th. The album, which was recorded with Terror's Nick Jett, showcases the band evolving into an aggressive powerhouse with clarity and precision, capable of thudding riffs and surprisingly memorable, gutting hooks. Inspired by Pantera's harsh groove and Hatebreed's tightly performed bulldoze, Bent Life have emerged from a long writing process revitalized and better than ever. Death Threat were formed in 1997 by former members of Connecticut powerhouse Hatebreed, opting for their own strain of tough and decidedly real hardcore. Their style culminated in the 2000 cult classicPeace & Security, now available on vinyl for the first time since its original release, licensed from Triple Crown Records. A gruff, thick take on the NYHC sound perfected by progenitors like Sick of It All and Madball ca. Set It Off, Peace & Security offers honest takes on mortality, personal growth, societal ruin and even love.

With a demo and an extended EP on Baltimore's REACT! Records under their belts, Detroit straight-edge hardcore band True Love are thrilled to announce their Bridge Nine debut full-length, Heaven's Too Good for Us, due out July 1st.
Recorded in the summer of 2015 with Andy Nelson at Chicago's own Bricktop Studios, Heaven's Too Good for Us is thirteen songs of razor-sharp hardcore, clocking in at a breathless 17 minutes. True Love races and pummels through anthems of taking back what's owed, straight-edge fury, broken vows, and the real truths of love lost and sometimes found. Tracks like "Your Side" and "Where It Ends" ache and twist with promises of forever, backed by crushing walls of guitars and "nobody stands still" breaks, while tracks "Kill for That" and "Stay True" showcase their ability to slow from frenetic, breakneck speeds to a mid-paced groove that leads to a controlled chaos. The record also features guest vocals from Turnstile's Brendan Yates and Forced Order's Nick Samayoa.
As far as the lyrical world created by singer Dominic Vargaz is concerned, listeners are either with him, or against him. While True Love initially started as an attempt to resurrect a forgotten sound, with the dual buzzsaw attack from guitarists Alec Faber and Brad Walker, and rhythms driven by bassist Joe Palleschi and drummer Derrick Daniel, the sound becomes entirely their own. Whether they're playing blistering sets on their home turf of Detroit, or playing shows across the country with peers and the bands that defined their sound -- their vision is uncompromising.
